Restore path variable windows 7

Thanks for this, it actually helped me to restore an accidental deletion of the system path variable. I tried to create one system path variable with the name 'PATH' instead of 'Path' and what happened is that the real value was replaced.

I do not have a system restore and there was no way to restore the variable. What I found though is in registry not in the 'CurrentControlSet' but in 'ControlSet' there is a copy of the non-edited value.

I am glad I found it there and copied it back. I think many people who do that mistake and accidentally delete this variable should go there and find the what i guess is the previous successful setting for that. Wednesday, February 19, PM.
