It spontaneously reboots, you have to connect and disconnect via systray icon, hell, even W95B did better than that! I also have W98 as a dual boot with my W2k. That's what I use to suck the images off of my D7. I'd disagree with this. Andrew, please note that I said "in my experience" and my scope in this forum is merely that of USB support. No connect, disconnect necessary. How about any Service Packs for NT 4? Do they support USB connection? I thought they were? Am I wrong? I have no access to the BSquare-Driver, so no testing possible.
I think I go and buy a printerport cardreader. It's somehow or other much faster then the D7 interface. The D7 needs 20s to send an 2. After a lot of testing of third party USB stacks at work for connecting up digital cameras we came to the conclusion that a parallel port card reader does everything you need. They seem as fast, don't soak up your batteries, are very stable and quite cheap. The only down side is that you can only read 1 card per NT session IE you have to reboot between looking at cards.
